The Design:
Part of our Pango and Ma and designed by H.O.M (a quintessential NZ designed and inspired wallpaper and surface pattern collection) comes Totara Bark, the mural wallpaper.
The mighty Totara tree is endemic to New Zealand and noted for its longevity and the great girth of its trunk. The bark peels off in papery flakes, with a purplish to golden brown hue. The sharp, dull-green, needle-like leaves are stiff and leathery.
This fabulous design not only makes use of the trend of biophilia (a desire or tendency to commune with nature) but also the modern digital almost pixelated forms of shapes and colours.
