From our Histroical collection by Duro wallpapers of Sweden comes Renshammar Historical wallpaper. Found in the Gammalsvenska QuickUp pattern book, this classical wallpaper pattern is in the Neo-Classical style that became popular in the late eighteenth century. The original was found in a bedroom at Renshammar farmstead in Halsingland in 1784.

This type of Neo-Classical pattern became popular in the wake of Gustav III's journey to Italy. The style of the era was inspired by designs from the ancient world, taken from Italy. Patterns became clearer and started to contain stripes and winding vertical bands. The colours in the wallpapers of the time were black and one or two additional colours on a light background.

An eco-friendly, traditional paper wallpaper. Washable with soap and water.
