From our Gammalsvenska QuickUp collection of Historical wallpapers is Skir dating back to 1939.
The pattern was found in our own sketch archive and is dated 1939. During this time, geometric shapes and fantastic flowers became popular, replacing the earlier more naturalistic Art Nouveau flowers. It was also popular to give life to the background with some sort of texture, as in our wallpaper where the horizontal background pattern gives the wallpaper depth and life.
